purpurea mixed

A great round hugging colorful variety.  This variety uses rain water in the pitchers to assist in its digestion of the insects.   Grown in full sun, they have a nice red pitcher coloring as shown in the photo.  Grown in shadier or obstructed light areas, the pitchers are greener with veins. Our plants are raised from our seeds.  These will be open pollenated purpurea with any of our other northern, and southern plants.  Each plant is unique.

Sizes unpotted unless otherwise noted 

Small, size for a 2-3 inch pot, 2-3 inch leaf span

Medium, size for a 4-5 inch pot. Near flowering size plant.  Leaf span greater than 4 inches.

Pictured is a mature specimen of this variety, plant shipped will be smaller.  Dormant October through April, pitchers will be trimmed off during this time.
